In January 2025, DI specialists carried out work to cut a window through 2 casings.

Hydraulic type Whipstock KLEN-HA 7’’ was set at a depth of 3115 m in a 7'' casing. Orientation was carried out using a small-sized gyroscopic inclinometer by an DI engineer-technologist.

Double casing milling work is not often carried out, but in this case, milling was carried out in casings (177.8 * 11.51 mm P-110 / 244.5 * 11.05 mm C-95S). Cutting a window through 2 casings took 9 hours.

Once again it was confirmed that the correct design of the mills is capable of handling a double casing. The mills were raised without losing diameter, which ensured free passage of the following BHAs for drilling into the cut window.
